abstinence from pop media - part 1

we've decided!
we've decided to sell off the car. our weekend car.
why wkd car? neither i nor ghoose drives to work.
work for me is just a 10 mins bus ride.
work for ghoose is just 15mins walk.
so we usually take our bat mobile for a ride in the evenings
or weekends. sometimes the bat mobile does not even get
a walk for a whole week. we are so comfortable at home,
especially now with the weather so cool (so shiok),
we just bundle up at home. watch the telly. read a book.
indulge in afternoon naps.

the world is a safer place with us at home...
the world does not need to be saved...
the bat mobile becomes redundant...

then ghoose decided - let's sell off the bike!
so there we were. from one bike. to one bike and a car.
to three bikes and a car!!!! to none!
oh! we kept a bike! oh yes we did!
ghoose's ktm for his trail. his man-toy.

we spent the wkd travelling in the bus. the train.
the most fun i've ever heard. reminiscence of our dating days.
not tat we took a lot of the public transport back then.
ghoose had his awie bike. his faithful awie bike with three boxes
two on the sides. one at the back. to fit your 6mths worth of groceries! man and his boxes :P

but it was quite tiring... travelling through and fro with public transport. it was easier getting around on the bike...on a good day, when it doesn't rain. the money spent on public transport for 1 week = petrol for ghoose's bike for 2 weeks. we did the math. we can't live without a bike...at least.

i was at Borders today and i came across a book
by him, kevin clash. his autobiography and how being elmo
has affected his life and love to mankind.
might get that book...My Life as a Furry Red Monster.

nobody knows how he look like...well not nobody.
his friends would know. heard about him like few yrs ago...
and now he is in the wikipedia... which he himself had probably
set up, since he's probably the only one who's keeping track of his
own activities. kudos to him. he is a good artist. and i like his work.

Words are out that the iPhone will be on the market in US in June, retailed at USD599 for the 8GB. Due to be in Singapore next year.
