FaithHub
was founded on 1st June 2003 by four Muslim brothers of whom three were converts. Their objectives include:
  • To enhance interaction amongst new Muslims, and born Muslims, through a social setting
  • To guide and support new Muslims on a personal basis, such as facilitating them and their families to integrate comfortably into the mainstream of Muslims
  • To disseminate and exchange knowledge and information in English, in a manner befitting the new Muslims
  • To tailor programmes to meet the new Muslims’ needs

Their objectives is to reach out to the English speaking Muslims especially the new Muslims who are keen to seek knowledge in Islam. To provide informal setting for us to interact, share and obtain help on our journey in discovering Islam (especially for new Muslims.)

Alhamdullillah. I hope my Malay Muslims friends, will share this information with their English speaking Malay Muslim friends as well. Insya'Allah we will all benefit from this.

  1. Islam has 5 letters - These represent the 5 pillars namely the Shahadah,Prayers,Fast,Zakaat & Hajj.
  2. Islam has 5 letters - These can represent the 5 daily prayers
  3. Islam has 5 letters - There were 5 great Prophets namely Noah,Ibrahim, Musa,Isa and Muhammad s.a.w.
  4. The alphabets in Islam start with "I" which in arabic looks like Alif which is actually the beginning of Allah's name.
  5. The alphabets in Islam end with "m" which actaully symbolises the completeness of Islam with our Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. Hence Islam started with Allah and was complete with our Prophet Muhammad s.a.w.thus all Muslims are encouraged to follow only the Quran and the sunnah of our prophet s.a.w.
  6. Each of the alphabets in Islam stand for a prophet - I for Isa a.s., S for Shuiib or Solomon a.s., L for Lut a.s., A for Adam a.s. and M for Musa a.s. or Muhammad a.s.
  7. In the word Islam you will find, Alif (I), Lam(L) and Miim(M) which is in surah Al-Baqarah which is actually a secret that no one knows except Allah s.w.t. Thus Islam too is a secret only to be discovered by some and hence you can see many Muslims behaving in a unIslamic way which is consistent with this secret not being revealed to them.
  8. Islam is for thinking people, people with IQ and the knowledge is from "Q", our holy Quran. Thus all other knowledge cannot match the knowledge in the holy Quran and yet many people are still not reading the Quran.
  9. Islam starts with you (I) and extend out to "M", the mankind. Thus we hear hablum minallah which is the relationship between you and Allah and hablum minanas, the relationship between you and mankind.

Ummah Films

Masha'Allah. These brothers have made some interesting movies...
for me for us all. something to remind us in case we forget...i guess the non-muslims can learn from these short Reminder movies. for all the times that my non-muslim colleagues had asked about this and that and i had a difficult time addressing something so delicate (so as not to misconstrued the point and being the only muslim in the company). here's a chance for them to learn Insya'Allah. I like Ali's sense of humour and the way they (ali and his brothers) address the issues. i think they have made my day...thank you my brothers. Alhamdullillah.

Come! Come and watch...

The above thread was first posted in 2007. From then on, Ali has created a new website www.askbabaali.com . with the same humour. It's still pretty new. but hey since u are surfing go check it out! u might learn something new. i did!
